This Child Safety Policy applies to our Website (https://omegle.me) and our official Companion Safety mobile applications for Android and iOS called OmMe Companion (collectively, the “Service”). The OmMe Companion apps are informational only and do not provide live video communication, matching, messaging, user accounts, or payments.
Live video communication, where available, takes place exclusively on the Website through an embedded third-party service powered by CooMeet. The Service is intended strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Minors are not permitted to access or use any part of the Service.
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Our safety practices are designed to comply with applicable child-protection laws and align with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards Policy and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.
Our Core Principles
- Zero tolerance for CSAE: Any attempt to involve minors, directly or indirectly, is strictly prohibited.
- Adults-only enforcement: The Service is restricted to users aged 18 and over.
- Immediate action: Verified violations may result in permanent loss of access.
- Legal cooperation: Where required by law, confirmed reports may be forwarded to relevant authorities.
Prohibited Behavior
The Service strictly prohibits, without limitation:
- Any sexualized behavior, grooming, or interaction involving minors.
- Sharing, requesting, distributing, or possessing any form of CSAM.
- Attempts to bypass age restrictions or moderation systems.
- Requests for personal information, images, or off-platform contact involving minors.
- Predatory, manipulative, coercive, or exploitative conduct.
Our Enforcement Process
The OmMe Companion Android and iOS apps provide safety education and reporting guidance only. They do not host or moderate live communication.
Live-session moderation and enforcement on the Website are handled independently by CooMeet under its own policies. Where legally required, reports related to child safety may be submitted to appropriate law-enforcement or child-protection authorities, including NCMEC.
User Reporting and Feedback
If you encounter suspicious, illegal, or exploitative behavior related to the Service, report it immediately:
Reports are reviewed promptly, and appropriate action is taken in accordance with applicable law and our safety procedures.
Child Safety Compliance
We regularly review and update our child-safety practices to remain compliant with global standards, including:
- Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy.
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines on child safety.
- Applicable child-protection and mandatory reporting laws.
- EU GDPR data-protection requirements, where applicable.
